Most of our work happens in your business, not in a meeting room. AI Discovery is time in your building: working alongside your teams, department by department, and spending most time with the people who are busiest. You cannot see how a business really works from a video call.
Sheffield is a city that makes things. Before Startwell, we worked inside change programmes for Rolls-Royce, TotalEnergies and the AMRC. We know what AI has to prove on a shop floor, in a back office and in front of a board.

Gary runs Startup Social, Sheffield's founder night, on the last Thursday of every month. Our own event tool, Barrii, started there. It has since run at Digital Forge and at the Fishbowl at Cutlers' Hall.

Do you only work with Sheffield businesses?
No. We are based in Sheffield and work across the UK, with ventures in Germany and Denmark. Most of our work happens in your business, so tell us where you are when you get in touch.
Where should a business start with AI?
With AI Discovery. We work alongside your teams, see how the work is done, and leave you an AI playbook (a written guide your people can follow) and a prioritised plan of where AI will pay. It is yours whether or not you carry on. If you already know what you need done, come straight to AI Implementation.
What size of business do you work with?
Established, growing businesses in any sector, with a leadership team and several departments or sites. Tell us about the business and we will say how we can help.
What does AI Discovery cost?
A fixed fee, agreed in writing once we understand the scope. Most discoveries take one to five days on site. It covers the time on site, the playbook and the prioritised plan. AI Implementation is scoped and priced in writing before it starts.
Do we need an AI tool already?
No. If you have one, such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or Claude, the playbook is written for that tool. If you have none, it tells you which one to get and how to set it up safely.
